ADAM KHROMACHOU
Hello all. My name is Adam Khromachou. My journey with cinema began in 1989. I was six years old. My mother took me to see Tim Burton‘s rendition of Batman. I was mesmerized, captivated, frightened, enthusiastic, and ecstatic all at once. Above all, I was enamored with the experience I was having Watching this type of movie I had never seen before play out in front of me. I Didn’t just want to watch movies, I wanted to talk about them with anyone who was willing to have the conversation with me.
Growing up, I wasn’t just obsessed with movies, I wanted to learn who the director was, what else the actors had been in, what else the director had made. I have a multitude of memories growing up, begging my parents to let me see movies that I probably shouldn’t be watching, renting movies that were a bit beyond my Years, and just going to the movies or the video store any chance I could. When most kids were reading comic books, I was delving into the entertainment section of my local newspaper, avidly reading reviews of movies. A typical Saturday night in middle school was sitting in front of the television, waiting for Siskel and Ebert to start.
Critiquing and analyzing the power of cinema is my greatest passion in life. I don’t just watch a movie, I take it in. Any, and every genre has the power to make an impact on us. Because what makes movies great are not the type of movie they are, but how they immerse the audience watching them.
In the spring of 2021, I found med Sunset Loner Cinema. My content creation platform, where I talk about everything movies. The good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. Comprising of reviews, retrospectives, analysis, the history of movies, as well as news and commentary, my platform Is my space to express my passion for movies and there’s nothing I love more than to share these experiences with those who can connect with them.
